Abstract

1436772 Package closures H W PFEIFFER [trading as OHLER EISENWERK THEOB PFEIFFER] 6 April 1973 [21 Sept 1972] 16671/73 Heading B8C A tear-open cover 2 for a container 1 is formed of metal foil and has an embossed interrupted pattern 9 formed throughout its surface, the pattern consisting of parallel rows of embossments, and a tear tab 8 for tearing the cover in the direction in which the rows extend. In addition, the cover 2 may have embossed corrugations extending both in the tera-out direction and transversely. The cover 2 is folded over a flange 10 on the container 1 which may be a food tray. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,348,105. [GB1436772A]
