Abstract
1433557 N-Methyl-O-phenyl-carbamic acid esters BAYER AG 30 Nov 1973 [1 Dec 1972] 55669/73 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds having the general formula where R is C 1 to C 4 alkyl and n is 1 or 2. They may be prepared by reacting a phenol of the formula (a) with methyl isocyanate, or (b) with phosgene to form the corresponding chloroformic acid ester which is then split with methylamine, or (c) with an approximately equivalent amount of phosgene to give the corresponding bis-phenylcarbonate which is then split with methylamine. The compounds of the invention may be used as active ingredients in insecticidal compositions.
