Abstract

1404447 Weft measuring drums IRO VISTAHOLM AB 12 March 1974 [13 March 1973] 11038/74 Heading D1E A weft measurer comprises a hollow shaft 4, through which the weft passes, which rotates the measuring drum 1 and a flyer 6 the drum having at one end, a swash plate 10 which moves the windings along the drum and, at the other end, a tapered flange 11 which is movable towards the swash plate 10 to open out the windings and to allow them to be pulled axially off the drum over the flyer ring 5 and through an eyelet 18. The flange 11 moves in axial grooves in the drum surface and is utilised to operate a switch 15 switching on and off an electromagnetic clutch connecting the driving motor 7 to the drum 1.
