Abstract
The process for the production of a clear transparent dental cleaner which contains silica xerogel as abrasive and a synthetic hectorite as thickener and gelling agent and is free of visible particles and immobile gas bubbles comprises incorporating into the dental cleaner, in order to improve the appearance of the strip which has been squeezed out, a water-soluble monofluorophosphate in an amount such that the fluorine content of the dental cleaner does not exceed 0.15 % by weight.
