1492537 Blended polypropylene fibres SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 4 Dec 1974 [6 Dec 1973] 56578/73 Heading B5B Synthetic fibres are made by fibrillating a film composed of a blend containing 80-99À5% by wt. of polypropylene and 0À5-20% by wt. of a styrene-butadiene block copolymer. The film is stretched but not longitudinally grooved before fibrillation. The preferred fibrillation method is by passing the film under tension over a rotating cylinder provided with pins on its curved surface. [GB1492537A]
