1498421 Polymerizable dental compositions IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 16 April 1975 [21 May 1974] 22580/74 Addition to 1465897 Headings C3P and C3R Dental compositions of the type disclosed in Specification 1,465,897 comprise (a) a polymerizable prepolymer which is derived from I a urethane prepolymer which is the reaction product of a diisocyanate OCNRINCO where R<SP>1</SP> is hexamethylene or 2,4-tolylene or 4,4<SP>1</SP>- dicyclohexylmethane and a diol HOR<SP>2</SP>OH where R<SP>2</SP> is where one of R<SP>4</SP> and R<SP>6</SP> is H and the other is CH 3 , a and b are integers from 1-3 and a+b is not more than 4 and II an ester where R<SP>3</SP>=H or CH 3 , R<SP>6</SP> and R<SP>7</SP> are H or one of R<SP>6</SP> and R<SP>7</SP> is H and the other is CH 3 ; (b) a liquid ethylenically unsaturated monomer polymerisable therewith; and (c) a filler of which at least 50% of the particles are not greater than 1000 Ám. The composition may further comprise a catalyst, e.g. a photocuring initiator. [GB1498421A]
