Abstract
1469910 Reinforcing edges of non-metallic sheet material TROPONWERKE DINKLAGE & CO 22 May 1975 [11 June 1974] 22173/75 Heading B5K A device for the fold-free stretching and holding of a liquid crystal film comprises a substantially rectangular outer frame 1 having an external edge 5 for centering an inner frame 2 comprising an inner centering edge, the inner boundary of the frame 1 being in the form of a collar 4 for stretching the film, the surface of the collar 4 facing the centering edges being bevelled, the upper part of the collar 4 being rounded off and its surfaces being smooth, whilst the surface of the collar 4 facing away from the centering edges is also bevelled, but at a smaller angle relative to a plane normal to the plane of the film than the surface facing the centering edges, the corners of the frames 1, 2 being rounded off, and the frame 2 comprising a groove (not shown) which co-operates with the collar 4, the groove having a surface nearest the outer edge of the frame 2 which is bevelled parallel to the corresponding bevel of the collar 4. The frames 1, 2 may be held together by clips 3 in the frame 1 engaging in openings in the frame 2 and/or a double-side adhesive tape.
