Abstract

Ergolenes of the following formula <IMAGE> in which R is the formula radical and alk is C1-C3-alkyl are prepared. These compounds are obtained by oxidising a corresponding 6-methyl-8-hydroxymethyl-10 alpha -alkoxy-8-ergolene. The resulting compounds are suitable for preparing elymoclavine by reducing the compound of the formula II. The said elymoclavine can be used as prolactin inhibitor. [GB1521311A]
