Abstract

Abrasive scouring cleansers contain, by wt. (a) 0.1-15% anionic, non-ionic, ampholytic or zwitter-ionic surfactant, (b) 1-65% esp. expanded perlitic abrasive having particle size 1-190 (20-110) mu and av. specific wt. 0.2-2.2 and (c) bal. inorganic, alkali salts and/or wate as fillers. Cleansers are used as household cleansers to remove stains and dirt off hard surfaces, by applying to surfaces, with water if necessary, wiping under press., and rinsing no or little abrasive residue is left.
