Abstract
1465019 Hydrazodicarbonamide BAYER AG 13 Oct 1975 [2 Nov 1974 19 July 1975] 41819/75 Heading C2C Hydrazodicarbonamide is made by reacting urea with hydrazine or hydrazine hydrate in an aqueous medium at a temperature of 105-140 C. and a pressure of 1À2-3À8 bars. Steam escaping during'the reaction may be replaced by water or steam. The product obtained may be oxidized (without further purification) by a chlorine/air mixture to azodicarbonamide.
