1462661 Brazing JOHNSON MATTHEY & CO Ltd 17 Jan 1975 [24 Jan 1974] 03343/74 Heading B3R [Also in Division C7] A copper-containing brazing alloy comprises: Ag 15-45%; Mn 0À2-15%; Ni 0À2-10% and Zn 15-40%; the balance, apart from impurities, being Cu. The alloy may be used to braze cutting tips or inserts to or into shanks to make cutting tools. The example describes brazing a carbide insert into a groove of a steel rock drill shank when the joint gap is preferably at least 0À004 inch. [GB1462661A]
