Abstract

When the container lid is fixed in place on the body, adjacent sections of the lid and body walls lie in the same plane, and there are curved beaded portions on the edges of lid and body. A glued sealing strip can be fitted over the join between these lid and body wall sections, and a spigot portion of the lid can fit inside the body. The wall of the latter can have an inwards-curved bead at the top, against which a shoulder on the lid bears, this shoulder joining the spigot portion to the lid wall section which is in the same plane as the body wall. The free edge of the lid wall can be in the form of an outwards-curving bead. [FR2267946A1]
