Abstract

The compounds correspond to the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R<1> and R<2> have the meanings given in Claim 1. They are prepared by the action of ammonia on a thiourea R<1>NHC(S)NHR<2> or on a thiouronium salt thereof in the presence of a catalyst or on a carbodiimide R<1>NCNR<2>; resulting bicyclo(2,2,1)-hept-5-enyl compounds can be reduced to the bicyclo(2,2,1)heptanyl compounds. The compounds and their salts have an antiviral activity, especially against rhinoviruses; they can be used for the treatment of rhinovirus infections, as well as for the specific suppression of growth of rhinoviruses in diagnostic investigations and in hospital laboratories.
