Abstract
1510746 Mounting photographic slides GEIMUPLAST PETER MUNDT KG 27 Sept 1976 [2 Oct 1975] 40020/76 Heading G2X An apparatus for mounting sections 2 of a photographic film strip in a slide frame 5 consisting of a base 28 and cover 13 comprises parallel guide paths (6), (7) for the film strip and slide frames respectively, cutting elements (8), 8' for cutting the strip into sections 2, a tong-like gripper 1 in the space between the cutting elements for gripping a cut section 2 and inserting it into a spread-open slide frame 5 in a direction perpendicular to the guide paths, a storage magazine (9) for new slide frames, a guide-track which forms at least part of guide-path (7) and has guide faces (12), (15) which hold down the side edges of the base 28 of each frame 5 as it moves along, and a bar 11 having a taper (10) which contacts each frame causing cover 13 to flex upwardly to spread the frame open. The frame may be spread-open further by a ramp (14) or the ends of gripper 1. The section may be fully inserted by the gripper (Fig. 3) or it may be only partially inserted Figs. 4, 5, (not shown), in which case the insertion is completed by a guide bar (24) having a oblique front edge (26) during continued movement of frame 5.
