Abstract

A new neutral fumarate salt of a derivative of the antibiotic plueromutilin -14-deoxy-14-(2-diethylaminoethyl)-mercaptoacetoxy!mutilin neutral fumarate- has been found whose physical properties made bulk manufacture more reproducible, simplify formulation and provide advantages in the administration of the substance. A new neutral fumarate salt of a derivative of the antibiotic plueromutilin -14-deoxy-14-¢(2-diethylaminoethyl)-mercaptoacetoxy!mutilin neutral fumarate- has been found whose physical properties made bulk manufacture more reproducible, simplify formulation and provide advantages in the administration of the substance.
