Abstract

1. An insulating vessel, more particularly an insulating jug, comprising a housing (2) having a handle (4), a filling opening, a spout (3) and a lid (5) which can be secured in position on the housing (2) by means of a form-locked connection and which preferably carries a closure member (9) which co-operates with the filling opening and is vertically displaceable between a closed position and an open position by a displacing mechanism (11) which has an operating member (36) and which extends through the lid (5), characterized in that the form-locked connection is formed by at least two locking lugs (44, 45) which can be put in their locking position by radial displacement and which, in their locking position, engage behind locking faces (46, 52) on the housing (2), and which are arranged opposite each other or radially on the lid (5), and at least one (45) of which can be disengaged by operating a member (54), said member being arranged on the side of the lid (5) close to its periphery and facing the spout (3).
