Abstract

A crusher apparatus (1) comprises a mobile chassis (2) mounted on tracks (3). A crusher (5) is mounted on the chassis (2). A conveyor (6) is mounted on the chassis (2) below an outlet (7) of the crusher (5). A feed hopper (8) is mounted on the chassis (2) adjacent an inlet (9) of the crusher (5). A rebar shear (10) is mounted on the chassis (2) between the outlet (7) of the crusher (5) and the conveyor (6). The rebar shear (10) comprises a pair of blades which are movable together and apart between an operative closed cutting position together and an open disengaged position in which the blades are spaced-apart from each other in an inoperative position, thus allowing free passage of material discharged from the crusher (5) through the rebar shear (10) and onto the conveyor (6). The feed hopper (8) is tiltable on the chassis (2) to facilitate feeding elongate material into the crusher (5).<Figure 1>
