Abstract

Contrast agents for ultrasonic diagnosis consisting of gas bubbles and microparticles are described and are characterised in that they contain as microparticles a mixture of at least one (C10-C20)-fatty acid with at least one solid which has no interfacial activity, suspended in a liquid vehicle. They provide contrast in ultrasonic imaging of the right and left heart, the myocardium and other organs such as the liver, spleen and kidney, after intravenous administration. [EP0365467A2]
