Abstract

A loading bay safety gate (1) comprising a barrier portion (2) and at least one swing arm (7,8) attached thereto. The barrier portion (2) is mountable on a structure by said swing arm (7,8) in a pivotable manner to enable the barrier (2) to be pivoted from a first closed position where it forms a guard barrier (10) on a loading access side of a loading bay (12) and a second open position allowing loading access to the loading bay (12) from the loading access side. the gate (1) further comprises at least one projection (15,16) located on the barrier portion (2) arranged to provide a stop for pivotable movement of the barrier (2) in a closing direction. <Figure 3>
