Abstract

A device (100) for placing over the mouth and neck of a beer bottle top after opening to prevent a person's mouth from coming in contact with the bottle, comprising of an all plastic material cover (1) with an internal plastic mesh/filter (2) to prevent any substance from being dropped into the bottle. When pushed onto the top of the bottle, it will snap (3) fit and the outer skin of the cover (4) can be colour coded or with a symbol or number for identification purposes and will allow advertising (5) to be placed around it. <Figure 1>

OPEN TO PUBL’C INSPECTION UNDER SECTION 28 AND RULE 23 Field Of Invention The present invention refers to a colour coded or identification marked plastic cover with an internal mesh type filter that is put on over the mouth and neck of a beer bottle after opening Background to the invention Drinking beer directly from a bottle is becoming more and more popular in everyday life from barbecues, concerts, matches, and parties, Currently there is no protection from contamination from drinking from a beer bottle, most 15 times these are most likely stored in a cellar or garage were rodents can easily have access to.

With drinking from bottles becoming so popular it is almost impossible to identify which drink is yours if you had to leave it on a table amongst similar bottles for any reason.

In nightclubs, it had become a problem were a substance was being dropped into drinks causing a patron/customer to lose memory or to pass out.

Accordingly, there exists a need for a protective cover or shield to prevent These problems from occurring Statement of Invention Accordingly, there is provided a protective cover comprising: a snap fit one piece plastic 30 cover, with an internal filter mesh, it will be colour coded or have identification marks on each piece.

Detailed Description Referring now to the drawings and initially to Figures 4 type B, there is illustrated a bottle top protective (100) cover comprising a one piece (1) all plastic cover with an internal filter mesh (2) that will snap fit (3) when pushed on over the bottle. The plastic bottle top cover will be 1 piece moulded to include the internal filter.

In practice the materials used, as well as the sizes, can be whatever according to the technical requirements.

Claims A device (100) for placing over bottles of alcoholic drinks after opening to prevent contact 5 between a person’s mouth and the bottle, comprising of an internal filter(2) which will stop any substance form being dropped into the bottle. The device (100) will snap fit(3) over the top of the bottle. It will also be colour coded(4) of have a symbol or mark which will make each top unique and be easily identified to prevent it from being unrecognizable if placed among similar branded bottles. It will also be large enough to place advertising (5) on the 10 outside skin.
