The potential of the cover strip is exhaustless. The possible combination of colours, forms and materials is infinite. By using the cover strip a new way of individualisation and improvement of the appearance of furniture is established. A customer-orientated design offers the possibility of an individual style aside of the main-stream design. In the conventional key market segment a strong request for individualisation of furniture is to be expected. Such an ambition can be favoured by offering cover strips in custom-orientated design.

Description

Field of invention The present invention relates to furniture. In particular the invention relates to new means of individualisation of furniture appearance.
Background DIN Norm of furniture The basis for the cover strip is the standardised boring of the base body of the furniture.
The cover strip consists of plastics/metal and is attached using slight pressure.
Therefore the cover strip is at frequent intervals mounted with plug-in heads, which effect a secure hold of the strip.
Example IKEA furniture-system PAX In the example sketch the measurement is chosen in accordance with the IKEA furnituresystem PAX, in particular a center hole distance of 26 mm and a borehole depth of 8 mm.
Materials The cover strip is going to be manufactured off Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) or thermosetting plastic. Benefit of the chosen materials is the option of an easy colouring and finishing. The elasticity simplifies the assembly and disassembly. It also avoids cracks of the cover strip during the assembly. After disassembly a further use of the cover strip is possible and the material also allows the remodelling of the pre-cut by the customers to adapt the strip for their own furniture regarding the length.
On market demand a premium-quality metal-factured cover strip is also possible.
Design and colours For starters the fundamental colours are going to be valet. More shades can be manufactured on customers demand. The cover strip can also be imprinted with patterns and images.
With the Elox oder Galvanik finishing of the cover strip a high-quality appearance is achieved.
Design and form The cover strip can differ regarding width and surface appearance. By way of example a cover strip in form of symbols, patterns or images (e.g. flower with stick) is possible.
Statement of invention Cover strips to cover boring holes in furniture, which are used to attach shelves, door hinges or the like. Thereby boring holes which are not used for attaching can be covered without interfere with the appearance of the furniture. The cover strip is either manufactured of plastics or metal. The cover strip is cut to measure, alternatively, the cover strip manufactured of plastics can be cut by the customers them self to adapt the strip in dimensions of length. The basis for the cover strip is the standardised boring of the base body of the furniture. The cover strip is attached using slight pressure. Therefore the cover strip is at frequent intervals mounted with plug-in heads, which effect a secure hold of the strip. The cover strip is going to be manufactured of Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) or thermosetting plastic. Benefit of the chosen materials is the option of an easy colouring and finishing. The elasticity simplifies the assembly and disassembly.
Brief description of the drawings In the attached example sketch the measurement is chosen in accordance with the IKEA furniture-system PAX, in particular a center hole distance of 26 mm and a borehole depth of 8 mm.
Detailed description The basis for the cover strip is the standardised boring of the base body of the furniture (fig. 4). The cover strip is attached using slight pressure. Therefore the cover strip is at frequent intervals mounted with plug-in heads (fig. 3), which effect a secure hold of the strip (fig. 1, 2). In the example sketch the measurement is chosen in accordance with the IKEA furnituresystem PAX, in particular a center hole distance of 26 mm and a borehole depth of 8 mm.
