Abstract

The present invention is directed towards a hoist and stander apparatus comprising a boom mounting a jib; the boom being connected to a chassis, whereby the chassis comprises a pair of ground-engaging legs; the boom being pivotably connected to the jib and to the chassis so that the hoist and stander apparatus can be collapsed. By designing the hoist and stander apparatus to be collapsible, as opposed to be of a breakdown construction, the hoist and stander apparatus is still capable of being folded into a low profile arrangement for easy storage and portability, whilst the user will not be inconvenienced by having to break apart the apparatus and re-assemble it at a new location.
