Abstract
The design depicts a method of removing caps from bottles without the use of bottle openers and so the device itself is a cap and an opening device in one. By extending the cap to a different form this extension can be shaped into either a push acting device or a pull action device which can be employed for easy removal. To aid with easy removal the device can be made of a lighter material e.g. Aluminium or if not it has been suggested to cut, crease or fold the edges of the cap. By using both ideas one can be sure that the cap is removed more easily and effectively.
Description
The invention will be understood in greater detail froro the fo 1 lowmq description of a preferred eifibodi’iietif tnereof 9nzen by way of example only arid wst-h reference to. the accompanyi ng drswings in whichsFIG 1. A PARTIALLY CUT-AWAY VIEW OF OPERATION OF A PUSH TYPE DEVICE.
FIS 2. A PERSPECTIVE VIEW OF A PUSH TYPE DEVICE,
Referring now to the drawings, there is shown a device according to the invention which comprises of a bottle top shape with an extending piece. This extending piece is designed for safe and easy use and it’s particular shape will help while in operation. Another feature which will help in it’s operation is the use of cuts, folds or creases which open when levering, see (fig,. 1 and fig 2.) below.
By pushing the extending piece upwards the device experiences resistance above the horizontal. From this point- upward tension is applied to' the seal around the edge and starts to open< at the pre-cut or folded areas. The same tension is applied to the same areas on pull type devices. Further pressure removes the cap from the bottle.

3. oush device the ext-snding piece is shaped to have no rough 'edges and formed with a curving face so that it wakes contact with the rounded edge of the'cap. To help with the removal of the csr it must be decided by fhs manufacturer to use light mat&ri ai s su g„ (Aluminium) dr if not the cap can have two· cuts, creases or folds on either side of the extending piece but for this device I have decided to include them as a feature of this design. Othor considerations such as the device being a one or two piece device are only variations of this .design and say be developed without departing from the scope of the invention. Some of these variations way bs seen on page overleaf, So, this device should be protected by the fact that it uses an extension piece which may forr«ed/sh«ped into a ’ever and by Ίδνχ· action it may be employed to open bottles.
