Abstract

A mechanical device known as an ice bucket receptacle designed to be fitted to ice buckets of various thicknesses allowing fast and easy attachment and detachment from ice buckets for cleaning purposes or the like. The overall concept is characterized both by a spring clip which is designed to adjust to ice buckets of different thicknesses and which is made from a thin guage steel. The receptacle is designed with a long neck so that the bottom of the ice bucket suspends comfortably at the bottom of the ice bucket. The main feature of the design is the bowl component which is designed to protect the ice scoop and which actively discourages the user of the mechanism from touching the blade of the scoop. The bowl is angled at 45 so as to allow a scoop to sit conveniently within the invention. It also allows easy access to and egress from the bowl to a mechanism for the protection of an ice scoop substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to and as illustrated in the accompanying drawings. <Fig.1>
