Abstract

A tamper evident seal (1) for a fuel gas bottle (2) having a valve (3) provided by a plastics cap (11). The cap (11) has a top wall (12) incorporating a spacer ring (15) for locating the cap on the valve and engagement means provided by an inwardly projecting retaining ring (16) on the cap side wall (14) for snap-fit engagement with the valve (3) to hold the cap (11) in position. The cap (11) also has a tear away strip (19) defined by two spaced-apart axially extending grooves (17,18) in the side wall (14) actuated by a ring-pull (20).
