Abstract

The windings of the rotor (1) and stator (2) of the motor are connected in series with the supply (3) terminals through two silicon control rectifiers (4,5). The speed transducer (6) connected with the motor rotor supplies a signal proportional to motor speed to a drive input (8) of a comparator (7) which also receives a reference speed representative voltage (V). An error pulse signal (16) output from the comparator is applied by transformer (12) to a respective control electrode (10,11) of the series connected silicon control rectifiers (4,5), in phase opposition.
