Abstract

Alkanoid derived from L-Norcarnitina with the general formula (I)<IMAGE>in which R is a linear or branched, radical alkyl with 1 to 5 carbon atoms, prepared through the reaction of a L-Norcarnitina solution in acetic acid or triflourine acetic acid with a chloride alkanoid thus respectively achieving chloride or acetic triflourine from L-norcarnitina alkanoid. An aqueous solution of these salts is treated with a basic, strong resin, which makes the compounds in the general formula (I). The pharmaceutical composition includes the compounds from the general formula (I) or the acceptable pharmaceutical salts are equipped with activity on the nervous system and hepatic function.
