Pharmaceutical composition containing calcitonin as the active component, designed to be administered nasally in drop or spray form consisting of quaternary alkylammonium chosen from: dymethyldidecylammonium chloride, trimethylcetylammonium chloride or bromide, pharmaceutical compositions for rectal use containing the same active component and containing a tensoactive agent chosen from: A) tensoactive cation chosen from those utilized in pharmaceutical compositions for nasal use of the present invention; B) non ionic tensoactive agents; C) mixtures of A + B; D) amphoteric tensoactive agents.
