Abstract

Il procedimento di idrogenazione catalitica della glicerina è volto essenzialmente alla produzione di composti ossigenati aventi da 1 a 3 atomi di carbonio, principalmente 1,2 propandiolo e 1,2 etandiolo. Esso prevede di porre a contatto e di far reagire la glicerina con idrogeno in presenza di un catalizzatore comprendente rame-zinco in condizioni di temperatura di almeno 220°C.
