Il dispositivo (1) comprende una piattaforma di carico (2) di cui almeno due bracci (8, 9) operano tra le estremità laterali (26) della sbarra antiincastro (27) ed il punto (28) di massima sporgenza laterale del veicolo. Il dispositivo (1) comprende inoltre una coppia d'elementi (5) d'appoggio a terra della struttura portante (14) del veicolo, che operano come supporti cedevoli evitando che la struttura portante (14) del veicolo possa localmente deformarsi plasticamente al variare dell'assetto del veicolo in funzione del carico.
