Abstract
La presente invenzione è relativa ad un procedimento per la disinfezione e la rimozione di residui di biomassa esausta da acque provenienti da processi di denitrificazione biologica comprendente, dopo la fase di denitrificazione, una fase di aerazione o ossigenazione ed una o più fasi di filtrazione, che prevede l'impiego di ozono quale ossidante.In particolare a seconda dei casi l'ozono può essere aggiunto nella fase di aerazione oppure dopo successive filtrazioni, ma comunque prima della filtrazione finale adsorbitiva.Il trattamento con ozono permette di bloccare la crescita batterica indesiderata, di rimuovere i microorganismi, i residui di biomassa esausta presenti dopo la denitrificazione e di eliminare altre sostanze di disturbo generalmente presenti nell'acqua, quale acidi umici e nitriti.
