Viene descritto un dispositivo a cristalli liquidi comprendente una coppia di substrati trasparenti, pellicole conduttive trasparenti rispettivamente disposte sulle superfici interne dei substrati trasparenti e un mezzo di contenimento contenente un materiale a cristalli liquidi, in spazi, o "gap" interposti fra le pellicole conduttive trasparenti, in cui un indice medio di rifrazione (na) del materiale a carattere di cristallo liquido, un indice di rifrazione (nb) del mezzo di contenimento, una quantità della superficie totale (S) (FORMULA) degli spazi ed una distanza (t) (FORMULA) fra le pellicole conduttive trasparenti, soddisfano la seguente equazione: (EQUAZIONE)
