Abstract

Un sistema di trasporto per trasferire piccole particelle di materiale da un posto ad un altro comprende mezzi per deviare il flusso a partire da un primo convogliatore ad un secondo od un terzo convogliatore, in cui uno fra il secondo o il terzo convogliatore è un convogliatore di espulsione per allontanare quel materiale che comprende cose estranee. I mezzi deviatori del flusso vengono azionati in risposta ad un dispositivo di rilevamento di cose estranee, il quale è azionabile in risposta al materiale che si muove lungo il primo convogliatore, per cui l'informazione ottenuta dal dispositivo rilevatore del materiale estraneo viene ricevuta da un computer laddove il computer aziona un cilindro ad aria funzionante a pistone per far muovere un elemento laminare perforato da una posizione ad un'altra, in modo che il flusso di materiale proveniente dal primo convogliatore, oppure qualsiasi porzione del materiale che lascia il primo convogliatore, possa essere deviato verso un convogliatore di espulsione.
