Si tratta di un forno a bacino per colata in bassa pressione in cui gli elementi riscaldati che mantengono il metallo a temperatura superiore a quella di solidificazione sono disposti lungo il perimetro del forno, permettendo una maggior compattezza del complesso, un risparmio energetico connesso all'irraggiamento diretto ed una minor lungheza del condotto d'iniezione.
