Abstract

L'invenzione si riferisce ad una stampante o a simile dispositivo di uscita per produrre caratteri su un documento alimentato entro il suo passaggio (1) di trasferimento della carta, comprendente almeno un mezzo disposto in relazione con il passaggio di trasferimento della carta per rivelare il documento, detto mezzo comprendendo un fotoemettitore (U1) ed un fotorivelatore (Q1) disposti nel passaggio (1) di trasferimento della carta in modo che un documento alimentato ad un percorso di propagazione della luce fra il fotoemettitore (1) ed il fotorivelatore (Q1) provoca una variazione nella quantità di luce ricevuta dal fotorivelatore (Q1). Secondo l'invenzione, per rivelare l'alimentazione del documento in un punto arbitrario del passaggio di trasferimento della carta senza aumentare il numero di fotoemettitori o fotorivelatori, sono previsti mezzi ottici (2; 3) sul percorso di propagazione della luce fra il fotoemettitore (U1) ed il fotorivelatore (Q1), detti mezzi ottici (2; 3) essendo disposti sulle superfici opposte nel passaggio di trasferimento della carta con una spaziatura reciproca in direzione trasversale al passaggio (1) di trasferimento della carta in modo da far si che la luce si propaghi varie volte attraverso il passaggio di trasferimento della carta prima di cadere sul fotorivelatore (Q1). fig. 1
