Abstract
Cinghia metallica elastica trapezoidale, formata da nastro metallico per molle piegato fino ad ottenere un anello continuo (continuo) saldato alle due estremità. E' adatta ad ogni trasmissione, con particolare preferenza ai Variatori di Velocità a puleggie variabili. Le sue tre dimensioni, spessore del nastro, larghezza del nastro, altezza dell'onda consente di dosare esattamente il giusto rapporto fra flessibilità all'avvolgimento e resistenza al tiro. Può lavorare a secco oppure a bagno d'olio e sostituire vantaggiosamente le cosiddette cinghie trapezoidali in gomma, le cinghie dentate, le catene. Avendo un notevolissimo coefficiente d'aderenza con la gola delle puleggie, viene montata con precarica di tiro minima e s'autoregola in funzione dello sforzo di lavoro;
