Abstract

Un dispositivo di comando dello sterzo di un autoveicolo comprende un dispositivo di servosterzo idraulico convenzionale e, in aggiunta a questo una serie di elementi che gli consentono di operare come dispositivo di sterzo a comando remoto ("steer by wire"). Nel modo di funzionamento a comando remoto, il volante (11) è scollegato meccanicamente dalla cremagliera (8) dello sterzo e il carico sul volante viene generato mediante un motore elettrico (32) ed un riduttore (33). Inoltre, nel suddetto modo di funzionamento, la valvola di servosterzo convenzionale è disabilitata e l'alimentazione dell'attuatore idraulico (2) è controllata da un'elettrovalvola proporzionale a centri chiusi (42). Il suddetto motore elettrico (32) e la valvola proporzionale (42) sono comandate da una centralina elettronica (31) in funzione delle condizioni operative del veicolo.(Figura 2).
