Abstract

Struttura di batterie che utilizzano celle zinco/aria di forma cilindrica collegate elettricamente in serie, le celle essendo assiemate in modo che un primo numero di queste siano impilate in un primo orientamento in una pila in linea, e un secondo numero delle stesse siano disposte adiacenti alla pila in linea in un secondo orientamento perpendicolare al primo orientamento. Le celle alle estremità della propria serie sono collegate ai terminali anodico e catodico di una morsettiera. L'insieme celle/morsettiera viene inserito in un involucro avente cavità di incastro in cui porzioni delle celle vengono saldamente incastrate e un coperchio, fissato all'involucro per formare un contenitore per batteria, presenta corrispondenti cavità di incastro in cui vengono saldamente incastrate porzioni disposte in senso opposto delle celle. Aperture aventi mezzi di bloccaggio associati con queste sono provviste ad ogni estremità del contenitore per permettere all'aria di entrare per interagire con lo zinco nelle celle, ma per evitare che altri oggetti entrino e vengano in contatto con le celle.
