Questo distributore automatico é adatto a prodotti quali libri, cataloghi, riviste e simili, appartenenti ad una pluralità di gruppi di prodotti uguali. Esso comprende un contenitore principale, una pluralità di serbatoi di prodotti previsti nel contenitore principale, ciascun serbatoio contenendo un gruppo di prodotti uguali tra loro sovrapposti l'uno all'altro; una unità centrate di comando e controllo è associata al contenitore principale per la selezione del gruppo di prodotti desiderato ed il ricevimento del pagamento per un prodotto di tale gruppo. E' poi prevista una stazione di prelevamento del prodotto dal contenitore principale, ed un percorso di trasferimento del prodotto del gruppo selezionato nel contenitore principale dal proprio serbatoio alta stazione di prelevamento.Il distributore é caratterizzato dal fatto di comprendere un equipaggio mobile, guidato nel contenitore principale lungo il percorso di trasferimento, uno spintore per spostare il prodotto superiore del gruppo selezionato dal serbatoio all'equipaggio mobile, ed un altro spintore per spostare il prodotto dall'equipaggio mobile alta stazione di prelevamento. Gli spostamenti dei prodotti avvengono in modo molto delicato, evitando ogni rischio di danneggiamento dei prodotti stessi.
