Abstract

Un pretensionatore per cinture di sicurezza azionato da un attuatore rotativo comprende una intelaiatura, un albero di raccolta della cinta montato girevolmente sull'intelaiatura, ed un attuatore rotativo montato sull'intelaiatura, e comprendente una camera di pressione, un elemento rotante ed un generatore di gas per alimentare gas presurizzato alla camera di pressione per fare ruotare l'elemento rotativo. Una frizione è interposta fra l'elemento rotativo e l'albero di raccolta. La camera di pressione dell'attuatore è anulare e comprende una parete interna che definisce uno spazio nella camera, e la frizione è alloggiata nello spazio nella camera. La forza di comando dell'elemento rotativo prodotta dalla pressione del gas alimentato alla camera di pressione è trasmessa all'albero di raccolta dalla frizione, e la rotazione dell'albero di raccolta avvolge un tratto della cinta sull'albero e quindi tensiona la cinta.
