Abstract
Le lamine 11, 12 e 13 di riflessione ottica sono collegate alle estremità di cavi 8, 9 e 10 a fibra ottica, rispettivamente. Un accoppiatore 2 direzionale di guida d'onda ottica che ha almeno un terminale A comune di ingresso e almeno due terminali di uscita B e C viene fornito tra un OTDR 1 e un cavo 5 a fibra ottica di misura. Il terminale B di uscita è collegato ad un'estremità del cavo 6 a fibra ottica e il terminale C di uscita è collegato ad una lamina 4 di riflessione ottica attraverso un attenuatore ottico variabile 3, che può cambiare l'attenuazione ottica di luce di passaggio. Il OTDR 1 fornisce un impulso luminoso al terminale A comune di ingresso e misura l'attenuazione ottica del cavo 5 a fibra ottica di misura utilizzando differenze nell'intensità di impulsi luminosi riflessi, che vengono riflessi in corrispondenza di ogni lamina di riflessione ottica 4, 11, 12 e 13.
