La levigatrice comprende una piastra di levigatura (13) azionata tramite meccanismo a eccentrico (15) da un motore elettrico (1) di tipo autoportante alloggiato all'interno di un involucro di copertura (21), che è realizzato in forma di due semigusci (22, 23) calzati attorno a detto motore (1) senza funzioni di supporto dello stesso.(Fig.1).
