Le nuove amidi degli acidi biliari aventi formula generale (FORMULA) dove A1 può essere alfa-OH o ?-OH dove A2 può essere H o alfa-OH o ?-OH dove A3 può essere H o alfa-OH o ?-OH dove A4 può essere H o alfa-OH o ?-OH R rappresenta H, un metallo alcalino od alcalino terroso oppure una base organica od un aminoacido basico suo sale organico con basi farmaceuticamente attive, con amino acidi (lisina o arginina) o con ioni inorganici (Na, Ca, ecc_) ed R1 rappresenta un alchile C1-C5 lineare o ramificato.Hanno proprietà chimiche, metaboliche e farmacologiche che le rendono di potenziale utilità in condizioni patologiche quali calcolosi biliare colesteidica, dispepsia biliare, malattie del ricambio lipidico con effetto citoprotettivo sulle membrane cellulari.
