Abstract

Improved modular cage, especially for the rearing of rabbits, of the type provided with means for the controlled supply of food and drink, being preequipped and comprising: - a preferably metal supporting frame supported on a series of uprights and corresponding cross-members, - a grid floor for supporting the animal, the said floor being subdivided into cells by a number of removable grids, - a number of perimetral enclosing panels, which are also removable, of the type made in one piece and insulated, - a movable roof, also insulated, and subdivided into three zones, one central and two lateral zones respectively, in which the centre comprises at least one liftable member, while laterally there are members which can slide within corresponding guides, - at least one environmental temperature detection sensor preferably within the cage, the said sensor being connected to a logic unit, bringing about raising or lowering of the central roof, - and finally a vessel for the recovery of droppings located close to the ground beneath the cells containing the animals. <IMAGE>
