Oggetto dell'invenzione è un tubo di parete di un cilindro per pressa realizzato in acciaio, caratterizzato dal fatto che il tubo di parete (2,3) è prodotto a partire da un acciaio costituito da 0,14-0,35% carbonio, 0,15-0,50% silicio, 1,6-1,8% manganese, 0,30% max. fosforo, 0,05% max.zolfo. 1,8-2.2% cromo. 0,4-0,7% molibdeno. 0.015-0.050% alluminio e ferro con impurezze generate dalla fabbricazione come residuo, ed è invecchiato artificialmente su rullo o invecchiato artificialmente all'aria.
