A quel punto, i primi aghi vengono rimessi in lavoro per la costruzione del manufatto con la partecipazione di tutti gli aghi della macchina. Così, la linea L di completamento del bordo corrisponderà alla linea di rientro in lavoro degli aghi che hanno trattenuto inizialmente i punti di maglia.
