Process for manufacturing a book (1, 21) with ribbon bookmark (8, 24) fixed in the area of the book spine (1, 21), characterized in that the bookmark (8, 24) is glued with an end to the head or foot of the spine of a sewn book {2, 22) or to the inside back of a book cover (3) or slipcover (23), and the length of the bookmark (8, 24), necessary for the book (1, 21), it is applied on the spine of the sewn book (2, 22) or on the inner side of the spine of the cover (3) of the book or of the cover (23) and then the sewn book (2, 22 ) is hung on the cover of the book (3) or in the cover (23).

Method according to claim 15, characterized in that the bookmark (8, 24) is preferably applied as a loop on the back of the sewn book (2, 22) or on the inner side of the back of the book cover (3) or of the cover (23).

Method according to claim 15 or 16, characterized in that the bookmark (8, 24) is applied protruding with a loop (10) or with a free end (9) to the head or foot of the book (1, 21).

Method according to one of claims 15 to 17, characterized in that the bookmark (8, 24) is fixed by at least one point of adhesive glue (12a, 12b, 28a, 2Bb), on the back of the sewn book (2, 22) or on the inside of the spine of the book cover (3) or the spine of the cover (23).

Method according to one of claims 15 to 18, characterized in that before the back gluing of a back of a sewn book (2) with a back gluing material (6), one end of the bookmark (8) is applied to the head or foot on the back of the glued book (2) and, after gluing back, the length of the bookmark (8), required for the book (1), is applied to the back gluing material (6).
