Abstract

Trattasi di un deposito interrato finalizzato allo stoccaggio dei container nel sottosuolo per mezzo di un sistema modulare e automatico allo scopo di evitare problemi di impatto ambientale derivanti dall'occupazione indiscriminata e scarsamente controllata di ampie zone di terreno sulle quali, ad oggi, vengono accatastati all'aperto i container giunti nei porti o in altri punti di approdo. I vantaggi del presente deposito sono notevoli non solo perché si rendono disponibili ed utilizzabili ad altri fini ampie zone di terreno, ma anche perchè si ottiene una riduzione dei tempi di scarico e di prelievo dei container, un maggior controllo degli stessi, un minor ingombro della circolazione stradale nelle vicinanze del deposito, ecc..
