Descrizione del brevetto d'invenzione industriale avente per titolo: "Contenitore per ago monouso",
DESCRIZIONE
La presente invenzione si riferisce ad un contenitore per ago monouso.
Più precisamente L'invenzione concerne un contenitore per ago monouso per l'infusione di farmaci che agevola l'inserimento dell'ago sotto la cute di un paziente .
Come noto numerose terapie mediche fanno ricorso all'infusione sottocutanea di farmaci liquidi: il farmaco passa attraverso una cannula innestata in un ag'
attraverso la cute del paziente e viene rilasciato direttamente sotto pelle. In alcuni casi, è necessario che il paziente stesso provveda alla somministrazione del farmaco. Ad esempio, molti pazienti diabetici si somministrano da soli l'insulina, sotto forma di infusione controllata e prolungata.
È evidente che molti pazienti non possiedono conoscenze mediche e quindi possono rivelarsi riluttanti o maldestri nell<' >inserire l'ago sotto la propria pelle. E quindi necessario prevedere dei mezzi che permettano l'inserimento automatico dell'ago, in modo da evitare che l'imperizia o l'esitazione del paziente possano causare un errato posizionamento dell'ago stesso, con eventuali conseguenze pericolose.
Dispositivi di questo tipo esistono già ed uno di questi è oggetto della domanda di brevetto WO 98/33549.
Secondo l'insegnamento della suddetta domanda di brevetto un dispositivo per l'inserimento dell'ago comprende un cilindro nella cui parte inferiore possono essere alloggiati l'ago e la relativa cannula diretti verso l'esterno, pronti per essere inseriti attraverso la cute del paziente. Detto cilindro comprende al suo interno una molla che può essere portata in posizione di carica e sulla parte superiore un grilletto che ha la funzione di liberare detta molla. Premendo il grilletto, la molla viene rilasciata, in modo da proiettare verso l'esterno, ed in particolare attraverso la cute del paziente, l'ago che si trova nella parte inferiore del dispositivo. Una volta che l'ago è inserito, una leggera trazione è sufficiente per ritrarre il dispositivo e lasciare l'ago nella sua sede, in posizione corretta.
Un problema legato a questo tipo di dispositivi è costituito dal fatto che il paziente deve provvedere al corretto inserimento del dispositivo di infusione nella parte inferiore del cilindro, per assicurare un corretto posizionamento dell'ago.
Lo scopo principale della presente invenzione è quello di realizzare un contenitore all'interno del quale l'ago e la cannula connessa siano già correttamente posizionati, in modo che il paziente debba solo appoggiare detto contenitore sulla propria cute e, con un semplice movimento, liberare l'ago.
Un altro inconveniente connesso ai dispositivi noti è legato al fatto che, durante il posizionamento dell'ago all'interno del dispositivo, l'utilizzatore rischia di pungersi maneggiando l'ago. Inoltre in questa fase, l'ago è esposto all'ambiente circostante e, in particolare, a germi e batteri.
Pertanto, un ulteriore scopo della presente invenzione è quello realizzare un contenitore per ago monouso che non presenti il rischio di pungersi durante l'utilizzo e consenta di conservare l'igiene e la sicurezza rispetto a possibili contaminazioni da parte di agenti esterni.
I suddetti ed altri scopi dell'invenzione sono raggiunti con un contenitore come definito nelle unite rivendicazioni .
Il contenitore secondo l'invenzione si presenta come un involucro di materiale plastico di piccole dimensioni, all'interno del quale è già presente l'ago innestato sulla relativa cannula, protetto dall'ambiente esterno per mezzo di una pellicola protettiva.
Dopo aver rimosso detta pellicola ed appoggiato la base del contenitore sulla pelle, una semplice pressione è sufficiente per liberare l’ago e perforare la cute.
Una volta che l'ago è inserito sotto pelle, il contenitore può essere rimosso con una leggera trazione, senza correre il rischio di spostare l'ago dalla sua posizione corretta.
Vantaggiosamente, la realizzazione di un dispositivo monouso garantisce la massima semplicità di impiego e la massima igiene.
Un esempio di realizzazione della presente invenzione verrà meglio descritto con riferimento ai disegni allegati, in cui:
la Figura 1 è una vista laterale del contenitore secondo l'invenzione, raffigurato prima dell'uso;
la Figura 2 è una sezione lungo la linea A-A di Figura 1;
la Figura 3 è una sezione lungo la linea A-A del contenitore di Figura 1 dopo l'inserimento dell'ago;
la Figura 4 è una sezione lungo la linea B-B di figura 2;
la Figura 5 è una sezione lungo la linea C-C di figura 2;
la Figura 6 rappresenta una vista dall'alto del contenitore secondo l'invenzione.
Con riferimento alla Figura 1, il contenitore oggetto della presente invenzione comprende un involucro cilindrico 1 in cui è definito un cappuccio la che può scorrere assialmente rispetto ad un manicotto lb quando su detto cappuccio la viene esercitata una pressione sufficiente .
Detto cappuccio la presenta inoltre un diametro interno leggermente superiore rispetto al diametro esterno del manicotto lb in modo da consentire al manicotto lb di essere accolto dentro il cappuccio la quando detto cappuccio è stato completamente premuto. Il manicotto lb è integrato con una base le prevista per l'appoggio del contenitore 1 contro la cute del paziente nella zona in cui deve essere inserito l'ago.
Dal manicotto lb fuoriesce radialmente una cannula 11 destinata a portare il farmaco all'ago alloggiato all'interno dell'involucro 1 come verrà meglio spiegato nel seguito.
Esternamente all'involucro 1, contro la base le è prevista una pellicola 3 rimovibile che protegge una garza adesiva 5 interposta fra detta pellicola e la base le ed unita debolmente in corrispondenza di una serie di porzioni circolari 7 alla base le.
Riferendoci ora alla Figura 2, il contenitore secondo l'invenzione comprende, all'interno di detto involucro 1, un elemento di trattenimento 9 in cui è definita una porzione di fissaggio 9a rivolta verso il cappuccio la ed una porzione di trattenimento 9b rivolta verso il manicotto lb.
La porzione di fissaggio 9a è bloccata all'interno di un prolungamento cilindrico assiale 11 estendentesi internamente al cappuccio la ed integrale con esso.
La porzione di trattenimento 9b si estende assialmente all'interno del contenitore 1 e termina, in corrispondenza dell'estremità opposta a detta porzione di fissaggio 9a in una piastrina 13 estendentesi trasversalmente rispetto all'asse dell'elemento di trattenimento 9.
Come meglio visibile in Figura 4 detta piastrina 9 presenta uno sviluppo sostanzialmente circolare e comprende una coppia di scanalature radiali 15 disposte diametralmente opposte per il passaggio di corrispondenti sporgenze assiali 17 ricavate all'interno del manicotto lb ed atte a guidare il movimento di scorrimento assiale della piastrina 13 e, conseguentemente, dell'elemento 9 quando il cappuccio la viene premuto contro il manicotto lb.
Riferendoci ancora alla Figura 4, detta piastrina 13 comprende inoltre una scanalatura 19 che attraversa diametralmente tutto il piano della piastrina 13, perpendicolarmente alle scanalature radiali 15, in cui è trattenuto il ramo di ingresso 21a di un ago ad "L" 21 per l'infusione del farmaco, alloggiato all'interno del contenitore 1.
Tornando nuovamente alla Figura 2 detta scanalatura 19 si estende assialmente all'interno della piastrina 13 e dell'elemento di trattenimento 9b fino ad allargarsi in una cavità radiale 23 in modo da definire due porzioni diametralmente opposte di detta piastrina 13 che possono essere deformate, come verrà spiegato nel seguito, per rilasciare l'ago 21 una volta premuto il cappuccio la. Sulla parete interna del manicotto lb sono ricavati due bordini circonferenziali, rispettivamente 25 e 27, previsti per trattenere la piastrina 13 impegnata contro il manicotto lb, impedendo lo scorrimento del cappuccio la fino a quando contro detto cappuccio non venga esercitata una forza sufficiente a vìncere la resistenza del bordino 25 più esterno rispetto a detto cappuccio la.
Riferendoci alla Figura 5, la parete interna del manicotto lb comprende una scanalatura assiale 31 in cui trova posto il ramo di uscita 21b dell'ago ad "L" 21.
Detto manicotto lb prevede inoltre al termine di detta scanalatura assiale 31 una porzione allargata 41 in corrispondenza della base le per evitare che la porzione 21b dell'ago 21 si conficchi nella parete del manicotto lb durante l'avanzamento verso l'esterno attraverso l'apertura 37 prevista attraverso la garza 5. Corrispondentemente, il cappuccio la prevede un allargamento 43 per accogliere la sporgenza esterna definita da detta porzione allargata 41 quando detto manicotto lb si trova completamente inserito nel cappuccio la.
Tornando nuovamente alla Figura 2, l'elemento di trattenimento 9b comprende inoltre una coppia di alette 33 diametralmente opposte che si elevano rispetto alla piastrina 13 e divergono verso il cappuccio la. Dette alette 33 terminano con una estremità bombata 35 la quale interferisce con le sporgenze assiali 17 quando il cappuccio la viene premuto e l'elemento di trattenimento 9 viene fatto scorrere lungo il manicotto lb liberando la piastrina 13 dal bordo 25 portando il contenitore nella configurazione illustrata in Figura 3.
Riferendoci ora alla Figura 3, quando il cappuccio la è completamente abbassato contro il manicotto lb, l'elemento di trattenimento 9 viene a trovarsi con la corrispondente piastrina 13 contro la faccia interna della garza 5 ed il ramo 21b dell'ago ad "L" 21 risulterà completamente inserito nella cute del paziente dopo aver attraversato la garza 5 in corrispondenza del foro 37. Riferendoci ora alla Figura 6 la garza 5 è unita ad una seconda garza 39 adesiva la quale è a sua volta protetta da una corrispondente pellicola adesiva amovibile. Il lembo 39 della seconda garza può essere ripiegato sulla garza 5 quando l'ago 21 è stato inserito ed il contenitore 1 rimosso. In tal modo il paziente potrà vantaggiosamente ricoprire con una detta seconda garza 39 l'area della garza 5 ed il ramo 21a dell'ago ad "L" 21 lasciando visibile all'esterno solo il lembo di garza 39 e proteggendo in tal modo l'area occupata dall'ago .
Il funzionamento del contenitore è il seguente: partendo dalla configurazione di Figura 2, la pellicola protettiva 3 viene rimossa e la garza adesiva 5 viene fatta aderire sulla cute del paziente nella zona in cui l'ago 21 deve essere inserito. Premendo sul cappuccio la verso la base le, vinta la resistenza del bordino 25, si provoca il rilascio della piastrina 13 e lo scorrimento del cappuccio lb sul manicotto la. Durante questa fase l'ago 21 viene inserito nella cute del paziente e, contemporaneamente, rilasciato dall'elemento di trattenimento 9 per effetto della deformazione della piastrina 13 a causa della pressione esercitata radialmente sulle alette 33 dalle sporgenze 17. Il contenitore ha così raggiunto la configurazione di Figura 3 e può essere rimosso lasciando l'ago in posizione grazie alla debole adesione esistente fra la base le e la garza 5 rispetto a quella esistente fra la garza 5 e la cute del paziente. Successivamente, il lembo 39 può essere liberato della corrispondente pellicola protettiva e fatto aderire ribaltandolo sulla garza 5.
Claims (11)
- RIVENDICAZIONI 1. Contenitore per ago monouso per facilitare l'inserimento dell'ago sotto la cute di un paziente comprendente : - un involucro cilindrico (1) in cui sono definiti un cappuccio (la) ed un manicotto (lb) provvisto di base di appoggio (le), detto cappuccio (la) potendo scorrere assialmente rispetto a detto manicotto (lb) quando su detto cappuccio (la) viene esercitata una pressione sufficiente; - un ago (21) alloggiato all'interno di detto involucro rivolto verso detta base di appoggio (le) e provvisto di una cannula (11) che fuoriesce da detto involucro (1) per l'infusione del farmaco attraverso detto ago (21); - un elemento di trattenimento (9) posto all'interno di detto involucro (1) fra detto cappuccio (la) e detto manicotto (lb), al quale detto ago (21) è fissato, detto elemento di trattenimento essendo provvisto di mezzi per rilasciare detto ago (21) quando detto cappuccio (la) viene fatto scorrere su detto manicotto (lb).
- 2. Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui detta base (le) comprende sulla faccia esterna una garza (5) unita debolmente a detta base (le) e presentante la faccia opposta adesiva e protetta da una pellicola protettiva rimovibile (3).
- 3. Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 2, in cui detta garza (5) è unita debolmente a detta base in corrispondenza di una serie di porzioni circolari (7).
- 4. Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 2, in cui detto ago (21) è un ago ad "L" e presenta il ramo di ingresso del farmaco (21a) disposto trasversalmente all'interno di detto involucro ed il ramo di uscita del farmaco (21b) disposto assialmente, detto ramo di ingresso essendo collegato a detta cannula (11) che fuoriesce radialmente da detto contenitore.

Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 4, in cui detto elemento di trattenimento (9) comprende una porzione di fissaggio (9a) rivolta verso detto cappuccio (la) ed una porzione di trattenimento (9b) rivolta verso detto manicotto (lb), detta porzione di fissaggio (9a) essendo bloccata all'interno di un prolungamento cilindrico assiale (11) estendentesi internamente al cappuccio (la) ed integrale con esso e detta porzione di trattenimento (9b) essendo estesa assialmente all'interno del contenitore (1) e terminando, in corrispondenza dell'estremità opposta a detta porzione di fissaggio (9a) in una piastrina (13) disposta trasversalmente rispetto all'asse dell'elemento di trattenimento (9), detta piastrina (13) essendo impegnata contro detto manicotto (lb) in modo da consentire lo scorrimento di detto cappuccio (la) su detto manicotto (lb) quando detta piastrina viene disimpegnata da detto manicotto (lb).

Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 5, in cui detta piastrina (13) presenta uno sviluppo sostanzialmente circolare e comprende una coppia di scanalature radiali (15) disposte diametralmente opposte per il passaggio di corrispondenti sporgenze assiali (17) ricavate all'interno del manicotto (lb) ed atte a guidare il movimento di scorrimento assiale della piastrina (13) e, conseguentemente, dell'elemento di trattenimento (9) quando detto cappuccio (la) viene premuto.

Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 6, in cui detta piastrina (13) comprende una scanalatura (19) che attraversa diametralmente tutto il piano della piastrina (13) in cui è trattenuto il ramo di ingresso (21a) dell'ago (21) ad "L" per l'infusione del farmaco, detta scanalatura (19) essendo disposta perpendicolarmente a dette scanalature radiali (15).

Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 7, in cui detta scanalatura (19) in cui è trattenuto l'ago (21) si estende assialmente all'interno della piastrina (13) e dell'elemento di trattenimento (9) fino ad allargarsi in una cavità radiale (23) in modo da definire due porzioni diametralmente opposte di detta piastrina (13) che possono essere deformate per liberare l'ago (21) trattenuto in detta scanalatura (19).
- 9. Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 8, in cui sulla parete interna di detto manicotto (lb) è ricavata una coppia di bordini circonferenziali (25,27) previsti per impegnare la piastrina (13) rispetto a detto manicotto (lb), ed in cui la parete interna di detto manicotto (lb) comprende una scanalatura assiale (31) per il passaggio del ramo di uscita (21b) dell'ago ad "L" (21) .

Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 9, in cui la porzione di trattenimento (9b) comprende inoltre una coppia di alette (33) diametralmente opposte che si elevano rispetto alla piastrina (13) e divergono verso il cappuccio (la), dette alette (33) terminando con una estremità bombata (35) la quale interferisce con dette sporgenze assiali (17) quando il cappuccio (la) viene premuto e l'elemento di trattenimento (9) viene fatto scorrere lungo il manicotto (lb) disimpegnando la piastrina (9) dai bordi circonf erenziali (25,27), cosicché quando il cappuccio (la) è completamente abbassato contro il manicotto (lb), l'elemento di trattenimento (9) viene a trovarsi con la piastrina (13) contro la garza (5) ed il ramo (21b) dell'ago ad "L" (21) risula completamente inserito nella cute del paziente dopo aver attraversato la garza (5) in corrispondenza di un foro (37) ivi previsto.
- 11. Contenitore secondo la rivendicazione 10, in cui è prevista inoltre una seconda garza (39) protetta da una corrispondente pellicola adesiva asportabile che può essere ripiegata sulla prima garza (5) quando l'ago (21) è stato inserito ed il contenitore (1) rimosso, cosicché la prima garza (5) ed il ramo di ingresso dell'ago (21) potranno essere ricoperti lasciando visibile solo detta seconda garza (39).
