Abstract

Cavo meccanico di trazione e spinta comprendente un nucleo di filo di acciaio, uno strato di adesivo di fluoropolimero che ricopre il nucleo di filo di acciaio, e uno strato esterno di PTFE poroso che ricopre lo strato di adesivo di fluoropolimero. Il cavo meccanico di trazione e spinta può essere un componente di un sistema di cavo meccanico in cui il cavo meccanico di trazione e spinta scorre assialmente entro un tubo di sopporto circostante. Il tubo di sopporto ha preferibilmente una superficie interna costituita da PTFE non poroso. Il tubo di sopporto può facoltativamente comprendere una guarnizione anticontaminazione alle estremità del tubo di sopporto allo scopo di ridurre l'entrata nel sistema di sporcizia contaminante e di acqua. Lo strato di PTFE poroso può facoltativamente essere applicato in contatto diretto con il nucleo di filo di acciaio se il PTFR poroso è in forma di un nastro di PTFR espanso poroso avvolto ad elica con fibrille orientate parallele alla lunghezza del nastro. Lo strato di PTFE poroso può essere caricato con lubrificante e con una carica resistente alla abrasione, quale grafite.
